I woke up the other day and said to myself: "There does not seem to be a cross-platform natively multithreading common lisp with sources available for me to play garbage collection games with, so why don't I write one?" It is difficult to say what drove me to say such a thing. Despite having debugged garbage collectors in a former life, I plunged into it again. Apparently I am unable to learn much from experience. Well, after ten days of searching for bugs elsewhere which just surface during collection, I seem to have a prompt which is not catastrophically unstable. About 190 functions are implemented, and the really basic infrastructure starts to be there. Nothing to show yet, I just wanted to share the joy of that special gdb moment with you all.
